Privacy Policy
Short version: Track My Calories is privacy first. Your food log, budget and body details stay on your device. We don't have accounts, and we never receive, see or sell your data.
1. Who we are
Track My Calories (the "App") is provided by Beauco Services Ltd ("we", "us"), company number 17476354, 66 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NA.
2. What is stored on your device
When you use the App, the following is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device only:
- the foods and calories you log, with the date and meal category;
- your daily calorie budget;
- if you use the budget calculator: your sex, age, height, weight, activity level and chosen deficit;
- app settings such as your theme and preferred way of adding food.
The App also stores a copy of its own files in your browser so that it can work offline. None of this is sent to us.
3. What we collect
Nothing from inside the App. There are no accounts or sign-ups, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies and no third-party scripts. We do not sell or share your data, because we do not have it.
4. Hosting and server logs
When you load the App, our web hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is used to keep the service secure and running. We do not use it to identify you or link it to anything you log in the App. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure service (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
5. Backups
The Backup feature creates a file on your device containing your App data. Where you save or share that file is up to you, and we do not receive it. Because it contains information about your eating and body measurements, please keep it somewhere private. Restoring a backup reads the file in your browser only.
6. Health-related information
Food and body measurements can reveal information about your health. Because this information never leaves your device, we do not process it. Please protect your device accordingly (for example with a passcode).
7. Deleting your data
You are in control. Delete individual entries in the App, or remove everything by clearing this site's data in your browser settings or uninstalling the App from your home screen. We cannot recover deleted data, and we cannot restore it for you, so keep a backup if it matters to you.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data that we hold about you, including access, correction, erasure, restriction and objection. As the App data stays on your device, the only information we might hold is the server log data described above. To exercise a right, write to us at the address above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
9. Children
The App is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the App handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. We will not introduce data collection without making it clear first.
